Jean Paul Gautier Junior
I am back from the weekend on the beach! The tanning process continues and I’m taking care through daily kiwi smoothie (I read on Glamour that It seems indispensable to obtain a golden and lasting tan, mah ... we'll see :D)
Last week, as I mentioned on my Facebook wall, I made shopping for my two little angels: Victoria and Sophie, my nieces!
On last Friday, during lunchtime, I faced the sweltering heat of the city and, regardless about the cement which has become like "pongo" under my feet, I reached Monnalisa boutique in Via della Spiga. Dear, I don’t know about you, but about me, I can say that junior shopping drives me crazy!!!
I am the ideal putative "aunt" of the sons of every my friends! My boyfriend hopes that when I will enjoy of the maternity joiful, the immense happiness would distract my mind from fearful omens that inevitably will fall on my bank account :D
Anyway, how is it possible to appear indifferent in front of these couture creations reproducing every detail of a woman charming garment??
Monnalisa is really the Toyland for all fashion children: small and snug It’s a riot of lace, lace, satin, white linen and soft cotton. It’s a world that has a touch of fairy, and even the seller, with his young and innocent air, is absolutely in line with the general spirit of the place.
It was difficult but finally I choose a cotton dress, consisting in a tiered green pea and lila skirt and a top printed of Disney’s Cheshire Cat; furthermore, satin and Swarovsky precious details and a combined lilac silk bolero with little silk roses applied above it. A masterpiece! It was mine! The packaging was pretty, much as those of the other quadrilateral glam boutiques! swiped the credit card and got out to the next goal: Fiorucci!
There the climate is easier, but the creations are amazing! Immediately, I choose a white milk linen dress: the bodice is gathered, colorful striped straps and on the front, there is a large red & blue seahorse embroidered. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! For the youngest Sophie, I get also a pretty white “Love Therapy” tshirt with very nice pink desingns.
Then I got out from there, but not completely satisfied, I visited Yoox web site, taking advantage of the sales, I bought a cotton printed shirt with large flowers, Hawaiians style, by D & G Junior (5 years) and a vest by Miss Blumarine, with lace profiles (3 years).
That’s all :D you have no idea about little girls reactions: immediately they tried gifts and proudly admired it in the mirror! FANTASTIC!
If you have the financial resources, dressing children with elegance and good taste It’s more rewarding than spending for ourselves!
Of course, everything must be done with balance, in order to avoid the risk to look ridicule, dressing our children like adults (for ex. Suri Cruise!).
What do you think about?
